Not Your Average Candy is a family-owned Li Hing Mui company founded in November 2022, driven by the discovery of a significant gap in the Australian and New Zealand markets. Growing up enjoying the distinct taste of Li Hing Mui on fruit, candy, and beverages, we found it nearly impossible to source locally. The only options were either an expensive plane ticket to the nearest Pacific Island or international shipping that often cost more than the product itself—neither was ideal.

With this challenge in mind, we set out to source the highest quality Li Hing Mui powder and make it accessible, evoking nostalgic moments with the added delight of sprinkling it over fruits. Our product range is aimed to take candy to the next level by adding the sweet, salty, and sour flavours of Li Hing Mui—making it truly not your average candy.
